Tim Goodwin

Welcome to Tim’s website. On these pages you may view his CV and performance photographs as well as his work as a trainer and therapist.

Tim started performing as a stand up comedian, clown and in variety, cabaret and music hall before becoming a professional actor in 1980. He is approaching 40 years of experience in theatre, film and television. Whilst working as an actor, he graduated with a first class honours degree in Psychology in 2005 and completed a Master of Research degree in Theatre and Performance in 2009. Tim has lectured in both performing arts and psychology at university level, as well as running courses at The Actor’s Centre for professional performers.

He has worked for many and varied theatre companies, including stints with The English Shakespeare Company and The Orange Tree Theatre – completing national and international tours. He has also worked for a variety of television stations as an actor and as a presenter. He is now also directing – he has two professional shows under his belt, working with Company Westbrook. Tim is currently living in Devon, with his talented jazz and rock flautist wife Vivien.

Tim is currently a Trainee Clinical Psychologist  at Southampton University while employed by Somerset NHS Foundation Trust (all opinions are my own and not reflective of the opinions of the service or the university).

Tim is a fully qualified Licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with a wealth of experience in corporate and private training and personal therapy. Please check out the training and therapy pages for details of how he might help you or your organisation.
